About Us
Volunteers
We have a team of volunteers who support families 1:1 or help out at our family group. We welcome volunteers of all ages, from all walks of life. Most are parents or have parenting experience. We are always looking for more volunteers, so please get in touch if you would like to get involved.
Staff Team
Six members of staff work for Home-Start Dunfermline. Fiona Farrell is our Family and Group Worker. She works directly with some families, runs our Baby Club and helps with the Family Group. Heather Craig is our Play Leader and leads activities at the Family Group. Kim Wylie and Dianne Horne are our Co-ordinators. They supervise our volunteers, work with families to manage their support and run the Family Group . Elaine Dryburgh is our Operations Administrator. She keeps everything and everyone working efficiently and also helps at groups. Lesley-Ann Chessor is our Scheme Manager. She supervises all the other staff, and meets with other agencies to promote our work and plan any changes.
Management Committee
Home-Start Dunfermline is an independent charity run by a Management Committee of trustees. Our trustees come from all walks of life, bringing their experience and individual skills to our scheme. You don’t need special qualifications to be a trustee – common sense, flexibility, time and an ability to work as part of a team, a willingness to learn, understanding the pressures facing parents today and a genuine interest in supporting parents in the local community are just as important to us.
